I tumbled down to the floor by the piano, with my arms thrown out instinctively to catch my fall, into the jagged shards of glass. A single drop of blood oozed from the tiny cut.Įdward threw himself at me, flinging me back across the table…

Even if you don't like Twilight, hopefully it will make you want to read more vampire novels.“Shoot,” I muttered when the paper sliced my finger I pulled it out to examine the damage. It's not for everybody, but find that out by reading it rather than assuming you won't like it.

I would definitely suggest reading it! Vampire fan or not, it will make you a fan by the end of the series. By the end of it, I was very satisfied with how it had ended and I wished I had given it more of a chance during the middle because it was great! It doesn't matter how much you watch the films, it will never be dull rereading the book. I think although New Moon wasn't my favourite when I first read it, it became very compelling when I got to the last quarter of it and I couldn't put it down. I also read the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris which were meant for an older audience I think but I read it anyway and it's also similar, but with more murder mystery and horror. I also read Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan because it was about a vampire's assistant and although it doesn't have any romance and is more doom and gloom, it is still a good book. It's basically Twilight, but with Bella falling in love with a werewolf rather than a vampire. Another of my favourite series is Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater, which is about werewolves. Twilight is the book that started my love for vampires and ever since then any book that has sounded similar, I've wanted to read.

However, when I finished reading it, I realised that it was what made the story different from the first one. They're my favourite books and films! I read the first three in about five days! The first time I read New Moon, I didn't like it as much as I liked the first one because when Edward leaves, it takes away part of the story. Bella finds herself without Edward, and Victoria, a vengeful vampire, is hunting her down. But when something terrible happens at the Cullen's house, everything changes. They loved each other more than anything in the world Bella never imagined she'd lose him.
